INDIAN CASINOS IN MICHIGAN
Indian casinos in Michigan are not required to release information on their slot machine payback percentages. However, according to officials at the Michigan Gaming Control Board, which is responsible for overseeing the tribal-state compacts, “the machines must meet the minimum standards for machines in Nevada or New Jersey.” In Nevada the minimum return is 75% and in New Jersey it’s 83%. Therefore, Michigan Indian casinos must return at least 75% in order to comply with the law.
